To do.
You say you are preventing
These people
From being happy because they are
Committing sins.
You say you are religious
devoted to
The ideals of a superior being who wants you
To "fix" this.
This is what you say.
This is what I hear.
I hear someone spewing hurt
and hatred
Your acid burns deep holes in fellow
people's skin
I hear someone drowning two
gentle hearts
Words pull them under and
squeeze out joy
I hear someone twisting words, ignoring
those that say
that our duty is loving one another
unconditionally
This is what I think.
I think you need to reread your book
and see
which is discussed more, the hate
or the love
I think you need to look at these two people
as people
and take the time to wonder why He
put them here
I think that your view of religion makes me sick
you people
who ruin others' lives because their love is "unnatural"
are the sinners
You make me ashamed to be of the same religion
as you
I'm ashamed to belong to a religion of hate it's supposed
to be a religion of love.
